Biography
Formed in Leixlip, Ireland in the late 80’s by Pat Burgess, Paddy Faughnan and Pat MacSweeney, this band have been playing the Rhythm and Roots circuit from Clifden to Kilkenny, Kentish Town to Aberdeen, Dunmore East to Monmouth and all places in between. Theirs is an eclectic mix of Americana using piano, banjo, harmonica, fiddle, acoustic/electric guitars, vocals and a driving rhythm section. Along with their own compositions, their repertoire contains very old known and not so known Mississippi delta songs. Over the years they have sessioned with known greats. Did someone mention Mick Jagger and Ron Wood? Philip Donnelly enjoyed a very pleasant evening of real C&B with the RRB. Good friends to Randall Lee Rainwater on many tours over the years. Add in some of Irelands great session musicians on hot Saturday nights in The Brazen Head in Dublin.
The band has a new line-up. Vinny O'Connor, a well reknowned musician from Dublin, joins us on keyboards and we are also delighted to have Klara Janu from Dolní Bojanovice in the Czech Republic playing fiddle.
